Faith. Scripture. AI. The questions worth wrestling with.

Some passages of Scripture comfort us immediately.

Others make us stop and ask:

Wait…what does that actually mean?

And sometimes the questions are even bigger:

• Does that still apply today?

• Are we reading this passage the way it was intended?

• What does Scripture say when the world we live in looks nothing like the world in which it was written?

• And what happens when ancient faith encounters something as modern as artificial intelligence?

That is where MIMS — Making It Make Sense begins.

Why MIMS?

I believe faith can withstand thoughtful questions.

MIMS is a place to slow things down and look again at parables, difficult passages, familiar verses, and biblical teachings that are often repeated but not always carefully examined.

We will look at context. We will talk about what a passage actually says — and sometimes what it does not say.

Then we will ask the question that matters to me:

What does this mean for how we live today?

This is not about trying to make every biblical passage easy or reducing faith to a collection of convenient answers.

Some things require wrestling.

Some require humility.

Some may leave us saying, “I don’t fully know.”

I am comfortable with that.

Because honest questions do not frighten me, and I do not believe we have to check our brains at the door in order to have faith.

Scripture Meets the World We Actually Live In

Alongside Scripture, MIMS will explore Christianity in a world being transformed by technology — particularly artificial intelligence.

AI is already changing how we learn, work, communicate, create, practice medicine, form relationships, and even decide what information we trust.

That raises questions Christians should be willing to engage:

• What does wisdom look like in the age of AI?

• What remains uniquely human?

• Where should Christians draw ethical boundaries?

• Does using AI diminish creativity, work, or authorship?

• How do we recognize truth when machines can produce convincing falsehoods?

• What happens to human purpose when technology can perform more of the tasks we once believed required us?

• How should Christians use powerful technology without allowing the technology to shape what we worship, value, or become?

I do not expect every conversation here to end with a neat answer.

I do expect us to think.

• Questions believers sometimes think they are not supposed to ask

Sometimes the conversation will be serious.

Sometimes it may be uncomfortable.

And sometimes I suspect we will smile and say:

Who Is Queen?

I am Dr. C.M. “Queen” Williams.

I am a Christ-follower, physician, educator, wife, mother, Jamaican-born immigrant, Army Veteran, and someone who has lived long enough to know that life rarely travels in a straight line.

Professionally, I am a board-certified Radiation Oncologist and retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel.

But before there was a white coat or the letters M.D., there was an enlisted Soldier.

I began my Army career as a 54B Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Specialist, what is now known as CBRNE. I later attended Rutgers University, commissioned as an Army officer, graduated from the F. Edward Hébert School of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University, and completed Radiation Oncology residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

Over a 24-year Army career and subsequent civilian medical career, I have had the privilege of serving patients, Soldiers, families, physicians, students, and communities in many different roles.

• I have been a clinician.

• A military officer.

• A teacher.

• A medical leader.

• A patient advocate.

• A researcher.

• A speaker.

• A business owner.

And, many times, the person in the room asking:

“But does that actually make sense?”

Perhaps MIMS was inevitable.

A Career Built Around Making Difficult Things Understandable

My career has included more than two decades in military and civilian oncology, leadership of radiation oncology services, academic teaching, physician education, radiation-emergency preparedness, medical accreditation work, and service in state and national medical organizations.

I have served in multiple roles. That professional background certainly influences how I think.

The Truth About Me

My road has not been particularly straight.

There have been opportunities I prayed for that did not happen.

Doors that closed.

Plans that changed.

Things I thought were failures that, years later, looked remarkably like redirection.

There have also been moments of extraordinary grace.

I have learned that being accomplished does not mean having everything figured out.

Being a physician does not eliminate uncertainty.

Being a Christ-follower does not mean never asking God questions.

And having faith does not require pretending that difficult things are simple.

Maybe that is the real heart of QueenQuanta.

I am interested in the space where faith meets thought.

Where Scripture meets real life.

Where knowledge meets humility.

Where medicine and science meet questions they cannot completely answer.

And now, increasingly, where humanity meets artificial intelligence (AI).

I will bring what I know.

I will tell you when I do not know.

We will look at Scripture carefully.

We will ask difficult questions.

We will occasionally challenge assumptions — including our own.

And through it all, we will try to make it make sense.
